Meet the Suter Family

Growing together: how the Suter family found their future at Endeavour College

With Endeavour College set to open its new Reception to Year 6 Junior School in 2027, the Suter family are among those eagerly anticipating the opportunity to start their children’s learning journey earlier.

“Endeavour has always been on our radar. It was one of the main reasons we moved to Mawson Lakes,” says Andrew.

“A strong primary foundation is important, and the 2027 opening of the junior school gives us the opportunity to enrol Savannah in Year 5 and Madison in Year 1 so they’ll get the full Endeavour experience.”

The College had long been top of mind for the Suters, thanks to strong word-of-mouth recommendations from those they trust.

“We know friends and family who have sent their kids here and they have really enjoyed it,” Andrew adds.

With daughters Savannah (8) and Madison (4), the Suters knew early on that a one-size-fits-all approach wouldn’t work.

“Savannah is gentle, creative and kind,” says Lilianne . “Madison is the opposite—strong-willed, determined and academically strong.”

For the Suters, that meant a personalised approach to their daughters’ education was key.

“We love that Endeavour supports kids who are more advanced and also those who need extra help. It’s tailored education, and that’s exactly what we’re looking for,” says Andrew.

Liliana was also drawn to the College’s broader vision. “We like the school’s connection with the nearby university. Madison dreams of being a pilot like her uncle, so we’re trying to nurture that dream.”

The seamless transition from junior to senior school also appealed. “When a school sees your child from Year 1 onwards, they get to really know them,” Andrew explains. “That’s incredibly valuable.”

Early friendships were another important factor. “Starting earlier means they’ll form bonds that can last all the way to Year 12,” says Lilianne .

The family also values the College’s wellbeing and behaviour support.

“Like all parents, we worry about bullying,” says Lilianne . “Endeavour’s stance on these issues and the proactive supports like the Wellness Centre really reassured us.”

Proximity to home and a strong sense of belonging were also part of the decision.

“Being close means, our girls won’t just attend school, they’ll be part of the local community,” Lilianne says.

The Suters see the new junior school as a valuable investment, not just for their family, but for the wider community.

“It’s a beautiful facility. It’s becoming a centrepiece of Mawson Lakes… It’s something the whole suburb can be proud of,” says Andrew.

With their daughters set to begin at Endeavour in 2027, the Suter family is excited to be part of the College’s next chapter.

“Starting your child in a brand-new facility, with the best of what educators have learned over the year… it’s exciting,” says Andrew.
