Construction and timing

Is the Junior School on track?

Yes, the Junior School build is progressing well and remains on track.

The College is taking a considered and strategic approach to ensure everything is in place to deliver a high-quality learning environment from day one.

When will construction take place?

Construction will occur in line with council regulations, typically during standard working hours (Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 6:00pm, and Saturdays where required).

Will construction be noisy?

Some noise is expected during construction. Work will be managed within approved limits, with efforts made to minimise disruption where possible.

Traffic and access

How will traffic be managed during construction?

A traffic management plan is in place to reduce impact, including:

  • Designated construction access routes
  • Temporary adjustments to parking where required
  • Ongoing monitoring and adjustments as needed

How will traffic be managed once the Junior School opens?

Traffic planning is underway with traffic engineers. This includes:

  • Optimised drop-off and pick-up zones
  • A new internal driveway
  • Encouraging public transport use for older students
  • Improvements to local traffic flow where required

These measures are designed to improve long-term traffic movement and safety around the College.

Safety

What safety measures will be in place?

The construction site will be securely fenced, with clear signage and controlled access points. All contractors are required to follow strict safety protocols.

Will students need to cross busy roads?

No. A pedestrian-only footbridge will connect the Junior School to the main campus, providing safe and direct access between sites.

Community access

Will local walkways or the lakefront be affected?

Access to surrounding walkways and public areas will be maintained where possible. Any temporary changes will be clearly communicated in advance.
