Active Learning
Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn.
The quote above comes from Benjamin Franklin. He speaks of learning through doing something – being active. Week 10 of Term 3 was PE week and it was a great time to show learning through activity in action. Active learning does not always need to be about Physical Education – being active also means exercising our brains by problem-solving, collaborative group work or evaluating our work. It is all being active. Here is a snapshot of some of the learning that occurred during the week. Being active in our learning is everywhere!
