Australian Student Leadership Conference
During the school holidays, the 2018 College Captains had the opportunity to take part in the Australian Student Leadership Conference at the Nunyara Conference Centre.
From the very moment I arrived to the minute that I left, I felt welcomed, accepted and comfortable with every one of the other participants and leaders. During this experience, I learned lessons from people who have lived through tragedy, such as Barnaby Howarth. He talked about living life to its fullest and that life is not all about winning.
The day was more than sitting and listening, the experience allowed us to become open with each other, mindful of ourselves and gave us inspiration about how we could innovate in our school. I believe I speak for everyone who attended the conference when I say that it was the most valuable, memorable and enlightening experience to have the opportunity to be a part of. I strongly recommend this experience for anyone who is interested in the experience.
