Music students from Endeavour College’s Big Band, Production Band and the Year 10 Band took part in a two-day intensive practice held on Thursday 8 and Friday 9 March at West Beach. Both days included 1 – 1.5 hour band rehearsals and sectional practices, as well as lunch breaks, giving students the opportunity to try local food and have a break before continuing with practice. The sectional practices allowed students to meticulously work on their individual parts as well as learn from other fellow musicians.

Our Music Leaders ran the traditional Music Quiz Night on the Thursday night, featuring rounds: ‘Finish the Lyric’, ‘Name the Artist’, ‘Name the Movie’, ‘Music Theory’, a surprise ‘Disney’ round, and musical chairs (with music-related questions as a twist).

Friday included more practice, and the two-day intensive practice program drew to a close with each musician leaving having learnt something new. Both days were overall very beneficial, fun and productive for all who attended and it was an amazing opportunity for our music students.
