Year 12 Transition Breakfast
Over a tasty breakfast on Wednesday, July 26, a large number of our past students shared their stories of transitioning into further education and work with our current Year 12s. Our old scholars came from many diverse University pathways and employment areas. Some were just starting out on their chosen pathways whilst others have almost completed the first stage of their career journey. They are currently involved in courses and careers as diverse as ICT, Engineering, Education, Law, Mathematics, Social Services, Physiotherapy and a wide range of Science specialisations. They informally shared their experiences of settling into tertiary studies, combining work and study, changing career directions and the highs and lows of their career pathways to date!
Later that morning the current Year 12 s were able to select a variety of information sessions to attend to hear from the South Australian universities along with employment and training providers. They received information regarding courses, applications and advice on transitioning to university or work. Students also had the opportunity to ask questions and gather information regarding course options.
